The 2018 Commonwealth Games Comes to an End

The 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games did not feature any hockey teams from TTO, but we did feature three officials. The curtain closed on the elite competition on Sunday 15th April. It was a fantastic experience for our TTO officials and we now highlight the roles of the TTO representation in the hockey arena.

World Cup Bound!

The Trinidad and Tobago Men’s Indoor team has qualified for the FIH Indoor World Cup 2018, which will take place 7th – 11th February 2018 in Berlin, Germany.

The undefeated T&T team crushed Argentina 7 – 0 on the final game of the tournament to earn the last spot in the Indoor World Cup tournament. 

This will be the second outing of a Trinidad & Tobago men’s indoor team at the Indoor World Cup. In 2007, the men participated in 2nd edition of the FIH Indoor World Cup, which was held in Vienna, Austria.

The Trinidad & Tobago Women’s Indoor team also finished their tournament on a winning note by defeating Guyana in the 5th & 6th place match 3 – 1 to place 5th in the tournament.

The following players have been selected to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Indoor Pan American Cup in Georgetown,Guyana from the 16th- 21st October, 2017.

Three Officials Appointed to PAHF Indoor Cup, Georgetown Guyana

Donny Gobinsingh (Umpire), Ayanna Mc Clean (Umpire) and Ronnie Chandler (Judge) have all received appointments to the  upcoming Indoor Pan American Cup scheduled to take place in Georgetown Guyana October 16th – 27th, 2017.

The National Senior Men's team finished 4th at Pan American Cup  in Lancaster, USA. Team TTO was also well represented by Officials and PAHF representatives. The latter received recognition for their service and contribution to PAHF and FIH.
